New blog mini-series: NLI goes to the Harvard Graduate School of Education

I’m packing my bags, and this Sunday, I’m getting on a plane to move from San Francisco, CA to Cambridge, MA to get my master’s degree in education at Harvard Graduate School of Education as part of the Technology, Innovation, and Education program. I’m not leaving the New Learning Institute behind, though—I’m taking the NLI along with me. Starting the first week of September, I’ll be blogging about the concepts, people, theories, and policies from my program of study as they apply to New Learning. Get an inside line to how one of the nation’s top education schools explores transforming practice, research, and policy through innovating where and how we teach and learn.

I think this is a smart choice. Not everybody can get a graduate education from an Ivy League institution, and it's definitely a great opportunity to avoid any messes later in your life! http://vancouvernoob.com

It's way too early for me to go since I'm only in 7th grade, but Harvard is my dream school. I saw that if your family makes $60,000 and under a year, you can go to school for free but have to pay for room and board still if you are an honor student. What are some requierments to go to HGSE so I can start early? Please take me seriously.

What I want to know is why you didnt think to include the other side of this issue ? The research has been in for some time. It has been determined that the kind of art education that can occur during art classes can lay the groundwork for future career or academic success. Creative children have a more well-rounded view of the world, they are not afraid to be expressive, and their self-esteem is strengthened through their artistic endeavours.
